Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed his excitement and readiness to take on a fresh challenge at LaLiga club Sevilla, following his recent move from the English Premier League.

The Nigerian striker, who arrived from Leicester City on a free transfer to fill the void left by the departed Youssef En-Nesyri, is determined to carve out his own legacy at the La Liga club.
Kelechi Iheanacho signed a two-year deal with the option of an additional year and was officially unveiled by the Rojiblancos on Tuesday.
Iheanacho described the move as a “privilege” to be part of the club.
The 26-year-old striker aims to replicate his impressive form from the English Premier League and is relishing the challenge of adapting to Spanish football.
Determined to make a significant impact, Iheanacho downplayed any pressure to replace Morocco international Youssef En-Nesyri, who recently moved to Fenerbahce.
“En-Nesyri has been a great striker; he’s done a lot for the team. Now it’s my turn; what I want is to focus on the games, on the team, and on continuing to improve every day,” he said.
The former Manchester City forward disclosed that he has been following Sevilla’s progress and is confident in his ability to compete in La Liga and prove himself as a top striker.
