Gift Orban, William Agada, and Jacob Adebanjo all found the net for their respective clubs over the weekend, sending a strong signal ahead of the new season.

From Germany to the USA and Finland, these three players showed their scoring touch just when it matters most, Footballrover reports.
Gift Orban Shows Sharpness in Hoffenheim’s Pre-Season Opener
Orban is gradually hitting form at the right time as Hoffenheim kicked off their pre-season campaign with a thrilling 3-2 win over Freiburg at the Waldpark Stadion.
The 22-year-old forward scored Hoffenheim’s second goal in the 50th minute, putting his side 2-1 ahead after Muhammed Mehmet Damar’s early opener and Armin Sivic’s equaliser for Freiburg.
Orban’s goal boosted Hoffenheim’s confidence as David Mokwa added a third in the 63rd minute.
Freiburg pulled one back in the 90th minute, but Hoffenheim held on for a deserved win.
Last season, Gift Orban managed four goals in 13 Bundesliga games after joining Hoffenheim from Lyon in January 2025.
He will aim to build on that tally as Hoffenheim prepare for their next friendlies against SF Lauffen on Wednesday, July 16, and SV Elverberg on Saturday, July 19.
Agada Strikes Lone Winner as Adebanjo’s Goal Not Enough for KPV Kokkola
Over in Major League Soccer, Agada delivered when it counted most. The striker scored the only goal as Real Salt Lake edged Houston 1-0 at America First Field.

Agada found the net in the 42nd minute, and that strike proved enough to secure all three points.
Agada’s goal keeps Real Salt Lake’s momentum alive as they chase vital wins in the MLS this season.
Meanwhile, Jacob Adebanjo was also on the scoresheet, but his effort couldn’t prevent KPV Kokkola from losing 3-1 to Keski-Uusimaa in Finland’s Ykkönen.
Jacob Adebanjo fired his team in front just 20 minutes into the match at Kalevan Urheilupuisto.
But the game turned when Josep Nuorela picked up two yellow cards within five minutes, leaving KPV Kokkola with ten men.

Keski-Uusimaa made the advantage count as Hugo Toivonen equalised in the 69th minute, cancelling out Adebanjo’s early strike, and put his team ahead in the 85th.
Daniel Rokman then sealed the 3-1 win late on.
