E-World FC and Campos FC sent strong messages to rivals on Sunday afternoon as both sides claimed big wins to boost their Nationwide League One promotion dreams.

E-World FC Hold Strong to Crush FC One Rocket

E-World of Calabar continued their push for promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL) with another impressive performance, defeating FC One Rocket 3-1 at the Sharks Stadium, Footballrover reports.

Goals from Patrick Kayang, Okon Etim, and Stephen Pius sealed the deal.

Coming off a 3-1 win over Campos FC in their opening fixture, the Cross Rivers outfit stepped onto the pitch brimming with confidence.

Despite a delayed kickoff, both sides started aggressively. Late in the first half, FC One Rocket saw red after a reckless challenge, leaving them a man down.

Moments later, their defender handled the ball inside the box, gifting E-World a penalty.

Chaos followed as FC One Rocket threatened to abandon the game in protest. In the heat of the moment, an E-World player also received a straight red card, balancing the numbers again.

Once calm returned, Patrick Kayang stepped up and confidently sent the keeper the wrong way, handing E-World a slim lead heading into the break.

The second period of the game saw the Calabar boys push harder. Seventeen minutes in, Okon Etim doubled their advantage.

FC One Rocket of Akwa Ibom fought back and took advantage of a goalkeeping error to pull one back through Abubakar Hassan.

But E-World had the last laugh. With eight minutes to play, Stephen Pius pounced on a counter-attack, scoring the third to crush FC Rocket’s hopes and keep E-World perfect in the competition.

Campos FC Stun Ahudiyannema FC After Kickoff Drama

Earlier on Sunday, Campos FC of Owerri delivered a shocking victory over Ahudiyannema FC of Abiriba (Abia State).

A kickoff mix-up almost cost Campos FC the game as they arrived at the stadium an hour late but escaped a walkover.

With no warm-up, Campos FC players dressed up and jumped straight in. Despite a tough first half with no goals, Campos came alive in the 60th minute.

Benjamin Onyedikachi blasted in a rocket from outside the box to break the deadlock.

The Abiriba boys refused to settle. Seven minutes before full time, they pressured Ahudiyannema FC’s keeper, forcing an error that fell kindly for Ehirim Onyedikachi to finish the job and seal a 2-0 win.

The victory was even sweeter for Campos as Ahudiyannema FC recently rose to fame by winning the 2025 Abia State FA Cup, beating big names like Abia Warriors and Enyimba.

With six points, E-World FC leads the table while Campos FC trails with three points. FC One Rocket and Ahudiyannema FC sit at the bottom with just a point each after two games.

Next up, E-World will now prepare to face Ahudiyannema FC in the last laps of the Southern Zone playoffs on Tuesday to defend their perfect record.

While FC One Rocket and Campos FC will battle it out to keep their promotion dreams alive.
