Shortly after, Hugo Cuypers extended Gent’s lead with another header in the 15th minute.

Cuypers struck again in the 19th minute, this time in a well-coordinated play with Tarik Tissoudali.

Tissoudali himself found the back of the net in the 43rd minute. Finally, Gift Orban completed the scoring in the 69th minute, sealing an impressive victory for Gent.

Gift Orban is surely back to scoring ways. The Nigerian forward came off the bench in the 57th minute for Jordan Torunarigha, only to slot in the final goal of the encounter.

The visitors had a chance to give their fans something to cheer about when they were awarded a penalty, but Höskuldur Gunnlaugsson missed from the spot, adding to their misfortune for the night.

This victory propels KAA Gent three points ahead at the top of Group B with seven points from three matches, while their visitors remain firmly rooted at the bottom with zero points.

Gift Orban and his teammates will now shift their focus to the Belgian Pro League game against Standard at the Ghelamco Arena.
