Romelu Lukaku has come under fire from Chelsea fans after a dismal performance against Plymouth in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea survived a scare from Plymouth to win the fourth round clash at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues fell behind against the League One side as early as the eighth minute, but came back to win 2-1 at home in the 4th round on Saturday.

Thomas Tuchel’s side were fortunate to avoid a dramatic early departure from the FA Cup courtesy to goals from Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, as well as a late penalty save from Kepa Arrizabalaga.

However, the former Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku has received a lot of mixed reactions as a result of his dreadful and consistent poor performance for the Blues.

Playing with Lakaka upfront is like playing with a man down.

After 40 minutes of play, the former Everton forward had only eight touches of the ball. He struggled to find his way into the game against Plymouth, and the Blues were unable to reach him.

Many Chelsea supporters believe the Blues made a tremendous mistake by bringing the 28-year-old back to Stamford Bridge, while others believe his career is dead and over before arrival.

This Lukaku is bad vibes. Useless upfront, useles when we are defending a set piece.
