Luis Diaz fired the Reds ahead at Craven Cottage, but Issa Diop’s equaliser briefly reignited Fulham’s hopes. Ultimately, Liverpool held firm to win 3-2 on aggregate thanks to their first-leg victory.

Klopp praised his team’s fighting spirit, acknowledging the intensity of the encounter, Footballrover reports.

Having seen Marco Silva’s news conference, Klopp stressed that his team was ready for the game and understood its importance.

He pointed out the importance of having the same fervour as Silva’s team and made the decision to give his players instructions to show their own hunger for success.

Klopp said it was important to show everyone that his players wanted the win just as much as their opponents, and he was able to attest to this after seeing it in action with his own team.

Reaching Wembley for the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea clearly excites Klopp.

It feels great; we are really happy; the boys wanted it and they got it, and so we have 10 games to play before the final in four weeks or so. We are looking forward to Wembley,” he said

However, the Liverpool boss anticipates a different Chelsea this time around, motivated by revenge after suffering defeats in both the 2022 Carabao Cup and FA Cup finals against the Reds.

It will be a big one, but we all know it’s against Chelsea. They will want to put history right after playing us twice two years ago,” he acknowledged.

Can Liverpool repeat their cup double over Chelsea, or will the Blues exact their revenge at Wembley?
