After securing a valuable away point in Ibadan last Sunday, the People’s Elephant struggled to find their rhythm against their visitors, settling for a 1-1 draw at the Elephant Park, Footballrover reports.

The Aba giants were off the pace in the opening 20 minutes, allowing the energetic Tornadoes to control the match.

Despite creating multiple chances, Enyimba’s forwards, including Ekene Awazie and Ifeanyi Ihemekwele, failed to convert.

Tornadoes capitalised on Enyimba’s defensive lapse in the 42nd minute, with Godstime Joseph scoring against the run of play.

Enyimba eventually equalised through Ufere Chinedu’s header, following a tactical substitution.

However, Coach Yemi expressed disappointment in his side’s missed opportunities and defensive errors, urging improvement ahead of their next challenge against El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri.Coach Yemi lashes out after 'criminal' draw against Niger Tornadoes: 'it was hell'

Speaking shortly after the game, coach Yemi said,

I feel terribly bad because the first 20 minutes was hell; we didn’t come to the party. The chances we were missing were criminal; I feel bad losing these points, honestly speaking.

“But I still have the cheer the boys up because the league is a marathon; there are still about 31 games left, so they have to cheer up. I don’t want them to feel down, but personally, I am not happy. Before they scored, we ought to have scored like three or more goals, and for us to win the championship, we have to do better; we have to improve on our goal scoring.

“Initially, I think we were having problems at the back, but we worked on it, and again, we have to improve our goal scoring because the chances we are missing is criminal.”
