Nigerian national football team coach, Jose Peseiro, has charged the team to give their all in the final clash against Cote d’Ivoire and win the African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2023) tournament.

The Super Eagles coach stated during his pre-game news conference that his major goal is to defeat Cote d’Ivoire and win the 2023 AFCON, Footballrover reports.

Peseiro acknowledged that winning the AFCON would not be easy for the Nigerian national football team but expressed his confidence in the team’s ability to succeed.

However, Coach Peseiro disclosed what the Super Eagles must do to win the trophy, and according to him,

“Our players know that it is not easy to win the African Cup of Nations, and they must put in their best to win,” Peseiro said at a pre-match press conference.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Ivory Coast in the final of the 2023 AFCON later today.

The match will be played at 9 p.m. at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan.

Peseiro remarked that playing in a final is always significant, considering it is his first AFCON.

He acknowledged the sentiment of others who called it special and added his own confirmation, suggesting he shared that feeling deeply.

Peseiro is excited about the challenge of facing Ivory Coast and has declared that the final will be bustling with a fantastic atmosphere and a packed stadium.
