Zak Sturge, a young player from Brighton, is expected to make a switch to Stamford Bridge as soon as Thomas Tuchel Chelsea completes his contract deal, Footballrover understands.
Sturge, an England young international, has played three times in Premier League 2 and has appeared occasionally in the U18 Premier League.
The 18-year-old defender, though, has resisted signing a new contract at the AMEX, and other clubs have been vying to acquire his services.
Chelsea and Leeds United are preparing moves for Brighton's teenage defender Zak Sturge. Chelsea have held a long-term interest in Sturge after making two bids for him in January.

However, Footballrover gathered that the Thomas Tuchel side are now in a strong position to win the race, with Tottenham, Leeds, and Brentford all interested in sealing a deal with the left back.
Sturge is ready to make that switch for a modest fee, but the Blues want to reach a deal with the Seagulls.
Meanwhile, Simon Adingra, a long-term target for Brighton, just signed a four-year contract with Nordsjaelland, and Julion Enciso joined the club earlier in June.
The midfield standout Yves Bissouma’s transfer to Tottenham, though, necessitates some rebuilding, and Rangers player Glen Kamara has surfaced as a prospective successor.
26-year-old Kamara has a big dream of playing in the Premier League, and Brighton scouts have been keeping an eye on him as they compile comprehensive reports on potential Bissouma replacements.
The likes of RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt will compete with Brighton for Kamara, and they also have an interest in Marshall Munetsi, a Zimbabwean international.
