Egypt defeated Cameroon 3-1 in a penalty shoot-out on Thursday night to advance to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, Afcon 2021.
At the Olembe Stadium, 120 minutes of football wasn’t enough to distinguish the two sides until the game proceeded to penalties, where the Indomitable Lions failed three efforts.
Before advancing to save two penalties in the shoot-out, the 33-year-old goalie made some spectacular saves in 120 minutes of football.

The match began with tremendous energy as expected, but it was Egypt coach Carlos Queiroz who was first penalized by referee Papa Gassama when he attempted to demonstrate his dissatisfaction but the game ended goalless after 90 minutes plus another 30 minutes of extra time.

Cameroon kicked off the penalty shoot-out, and Aboubakar converted, while Zizo sent Onana the wrong way.
I like how Cameroon lost to Egypt in tonight's AFCON semis.
Their captain Vincent Aboubakar was quite disrespectful to Mo Salah in comments he made ahead of the match.
A professional should NEVER speak about their colleague that way. As they say, pride goes before a fall.

Abou Gabal stopped a penalty kick from Henry Moukoudi, while Mohamed Abdelmonem put Egypt ahead by sending Onana the wrong way for the second time.
Lea Siliki took the third penalty kick, but the Egypt goalkeeper parried it, allowing Mohanad Lasheen to score.
After putting the fourth effort off target, Clinton Njie put an end to the Indomitable Lions’ hopes.
I don't know how Egypt do these at AFCON. Poor team and performance, yet another final. How?
