I feel pained missing Afcon 2021 says Anayo Iwuala, Super Eagles forward

Esperance of Tunis forward, Anayo Iwuala has expressed his displeasure after being left out of the Super Eagles squad for the Africa Cup of Nations, Afcon 2021 in Cameroon.

Under former Eagles coach Gernot Rohr, the former Enyimba man had five caps and made his debut in an AFCON qualifier against Benin in March 2021.I feel pained missing Afcon 2021 says Anayo Iwuala, Super Eagles forward

Iwuala expressed his disappointment at not being a part of the team that travelled to Cameroon in an interview with PUNCH Sports Extra.

It was so painful I couldn’t help my teammates at the AFCON because I really would have loved to be there,” Anayo Iwuala said.

The Super Eagles forward added that;

Every player wants to play competitive games for their national team and not being invited was a bit disappointing, but I have to move on and work harder and be prepared to take my chances when they come.”
The 22-year-old further stressed;
We have a lot of talents and that’s a clear indication that every invited player has what it takes to play for the country.”
