Senegalese U-17 head coach, Saliou Dia, said;
“He’s keen to see his team achieve history against Morocco in the final.”
He will surely rely on his team’s talisman, Amara Diouf, to deliver for him in tonight’s final match against the junior Atlas Lions of Morocco.
Amara Diouf has already surpassed Victor Osimhen’s 4-goal record set at the 2015 tournament in Niger.
He will be playing the final match tonight with a record five (5) tournament goals to his credit.
Other Senegalese players to look out for are defender Serigne Fallou Diouf, forward Mamadou Savane, and Abdou Aziz Fall.
On his part, the Moroccan head coach, Said Chiba, said that “hunger to make history” was the motivating force for his team’s success in the tournament, which will rely on the striking prowess of Ouazane, who has scored three goals in the championship.
Other Moroccan players to look out for are Ait Boudial, Chakir, and Hanin.
Meanwhile, Burkina Faso defeated Mali 2-1 to win the tournament’s bronze medal in the third-place match played yesterday, May 19, 1956, in Annaba, Algeria.
