Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen maintained his excellent form for Galatasaray this weekend, finding the back of the net once again to inspire a convincing home victory over Başakşehir.
The Nigerian forward netted the second goal of the encounter as the hosts crushed their visitors 3-0 at RAMS Park, further strengthening their push for a successful title defense, Footballrover reports.

This strike marks a third consecutive Super Lig goal for the former Napoli star, following recent clinical displays against Alanyaspor and Beşiktaş.
The 27-year-old Nigerian international has now registered 12 league goals and four assists this season.
His total goal contributions have soared to 24 across all competitions, including an impressive tally of seven goals and one assist in the UEFA Champions League.
Despite his massive impact on the game, Osimhen’s evening ended in the 75th minute when he was replaced by Mauro Icardi to a standing ovation.
Super Lig Title Race: Galatasaray Move Seven Points Clear
After being held at bay by a resilient Başakşehir defence in the first half, the league leaders shifted gears immediately after the restart.
The breakthrough came just 12 minutes into the second period when Noa Lang floated a precise free kick to Wilfried Singo, who smashed a strike into the top-left corner.
The visitors’ uphill battle became steeper when Festy Ebosele received a second yellow card for a reckless challenge, leaving Başakşehir to navigate the remainder of the match with ten men.
Galatasaray wasted no time capitalising on the advantage.
Nine minutes later, Osimhen latched onto a perfect cross from Yunus Akgün, controlling it with a masterful first touch before rifling an accurate finish into the top-right corner to make it 2-0.
According to OptaCan, the Super Eagles star has now made history as the first player since records began to either score or assist in nine straight Super Lig matches.
The victory was sealed six minutes before the final whistle when Akgün turned provider again, picking out Renato Nhaga with a defense-splitting pass.
Nhaga remained composed deep inside the box, beating the goalkeeper to make it 3-0.
With this win, Osimhen and his teammates has extended their unbeaten run to five matches across all competitions.
They now sit comfortably seven points clear at the top of the table after 26 rounds.
The squad will now turn their attention to a midweek clash against Göztepe before traveling to Anfield for a massive Champions League showdown with Liverpool.
