FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod has made a new addition to their squad ahead of the 2023 football season, signing Nigerian defensive midfielder Ededem Essien, also known as ‘Pappy,’ from Al-Akhdar SC in Libya.

The 1.80m tall midfielder arrives with a commendable reputation, following an impressive stint at FC Van in Armenia, where he featured in 53 appearances for the club.

Ededem is now set to don the colors of the Russian Premier League side until the end of the season.

FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod acquired Essien Ededem in a move to strengthen their squad and bolster their midfield options ahead of the new campaign.

His astute abilities as a defensive midfielder are well recognized, and his deep-lying role on the field will add a huge depth to the team’s setup.

Its a new chapter in the career of the 25-year-old, born in Osuk Ediene, in the Ikono Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
