Despite a strong display, Krasnodar fell 2-1 at the Ozon Arena, as Lokomotiv capitalised on key moments to snatch all three points.

It was the second league game of the campaign for Krasnodar, who showed early signs of control.

With 66% ball possession and 17 shots at goal compared to The Railwaymen’s 11, the home side looked more likely to win.

But Lokomotiv was clinical when it mattered. Their first goal came through Alexey Batrakov, who calmly converted a penalty to put the visitors ahead.

Moses Cobnan Makes Impact Off the Bench

Cobnan entered the match in the 57th minute, replacing Joao Batxi. However, by the 80th minute, Batrakov struck again, doubling Lokomotiv’s lead and putting their opponent on the back foot.

Still, Cobnan didn’t give up. Deep into stoppage time—specifically the 94th minute—the 22-year-old finally pulled one back for The Black and Green, netting his first goal of the season with a decent header.

But it came too late to mount a comeback, as the match ended 2-1 in favour of Lokomotiv.

What’s Next for Krasnodar and Cobnan?

After the narrow home loss, The Bulls will be hoping to bounce back quickly.

Their next fixture is in the Russian Cup—Group Stage, where they will take on Krylya Sovetov on July 29.
