Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze has shockingly returned to Milan in Italy, prompted by a hamstring injury sustained during Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Libya.

The Nigerian winger entered the match as a substitute in the 61st minute, but his impact was cut short as he experienced discomfort towards the end of the contested that saw the Eagles edge out their visitors by a narrow margin in Uyo.

During the encounter, Chukwueze was instrumental, contributing to Nigeria’s attacking efforts, but was denied an assist when a goal by teammate Ademola Lookman was controversially disallowed in the second half.

Following the match, Chukwueze’s condition required further evaluation, leading him to miss the team’s travel to Benghazi for the upcoming reverse fixture.
