With a history of success—including the Uzbekistan Cup (2015) and AFC Cup (2011)—they have also earned multiple podium finishes in the league and qualified for the AFC Champions League.

Signing Otubanjo obviously shows their hunger for goals and trophies. And for the striker, it’s more than just a transfer—it’s a carefully timed decision, as he explained in his farewell message to Armenia.

He acknowledged that many people likely had questions, but for now, he simply wanted to express deep gratitude to the country of Armenia—especially for the experiences and memories he had gained there, adding that he was truly thankful for everything.

— “Thank you, Ararat-Armenia, for the humble beginning and for the place that became home for me. Pyunik, I can’t put everything into words… A wise man once told me that when the right time comes, you will feel it and do what will be best.”

Now that time has come, and Otubanjo is set to make an impact with Nasaf in Uzbekistan.
