Wydad Casablanca, on Friday night sealed the semi-final ticket of the CAF Champions League after defeating Simba SC, Tanzania, on an aggregate score of 5-4 goals.
Wydad outscored the Tanzania Champions 4-3 on penalties in the second-leg quarterfinal match played at Stade Mohammed V, Casablanca.

Early in the first half, in the 24th minute, Wydad Casablanca’s Bouly Junior Sambou cancelled the one-goal advantage earned by Simba SC in the first leg before going into the penalty shootout as the second leg ended 1-0 in favor of the host.
Simba SC’s playmaker, Clatous Chama, lost his penalty, while Erasto Nyoni, Saidi Ntibazonkiza, and Moses Phiri scored for the Tanzania team.
Yahya Jabrane, Ayoub El Amloud, Amine Abdoufath, and Abdellah Haimoud scored their respective penalties for the home team.
In the other second-leg quarter-final match played at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa defeated CR Belouizdad of Algeria 2-1 to pick up the second semi-final ticket of the CAF Champions League on a 6-2 aggregate.
Mamelodi Sundowns beat the Algerian Champions 4-1 away in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the CAF Championship.
Sofian Bouchar scored early for CR Belouizdad in the 24th minute of the first half of the match to mount pressure on the host.
Thempa Zwane equalized for the host in the dying moments of the first half before Thepo Morena scored the second goal in the 49th minute of the second half to end the second-leg encounter 2-1 in favor of the South African Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
