Frank Onyeka contributed to Brentford’s incredible 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in their Premier League match on Saturday at the Brentford Community Stadium as they continued their quest for survival.
The Nigerian International Frank Onyeka assisted on the winning goal that gave the host team the three points in a tense home league victory over Taiwo Awoniyi’s team, Nottingham Forest.
Despite putting out a tenacious defense and grabbing the lead just before halftime, the visiting Forest lost by two late goals and went back home empty-handed.
Brentford appeared to have ran out of strategies for dismantling their opponents heading into the final whistle, but Ivan Toney was the first to score off a free kick, and Josh Dasilva’s flash of brilliance snatched all three points.

In the fourth minute of extra time, Frank Onyeka and Dasilva produced the winning goal, rewarding the Bees for their superior play. Forest supporters were devastated.
To give Brentford a 2-1 victory in stoppage time, Dasilva manoeuvres in from the right, easily dispatched his defender, and then plants an accurate shot beyond Navas at the near post.
Dasilva collected the ball from Onyeka’s pass on the right sideline before starting on a run and taking a wild shot to score the game-winning goal.

Both players entered the contest as second-half substitutes. While Josh Dasilva came in 60 minutes into the game to replace Mikkel Damsgaard, Onyeka was introduced 11 minutes later to replace Vitaly Janelt.
While Brentford continues to feel more comfortable in the top half of the table, Forest is left hanging just above the drop zone and must reflect on how to avoid a crash.
With confidence high after two victories in a row, Frank Onyeka and his teammates will now be looking to face Liverpool at Anfield the following week.
While Taiwo Awoniyi, his fellow countryman Emmanuel Dennis (who was an unused substitute in the game), and their teammates will have to continue their relegation battle in a matchup against fellow underachievers Southampton,
