Her debut game didn’t go as she had envisioned, but Taiwo Lawal still contributed with a goal in Ataşehir Belediyesi’s 1-3 defeat to Kdz. Ereglispor.
The Sunday match saw the host team score all three goals in the first half at the Beyçayırı Şehit Vefa Karakurdu.
Taiwo Lawal secured her debut goal in the second half, providing her team with a consolation goal to celebrate.
The young talent is already making waves in the Turkish women’s league as a prolific goal scorer and adept in one-on-one situations.
After the game, she took to her social media page to share her joy about scoring on her debut for Atasehir Belediyespor in Turkey.
“Glad to score on my debut for Atasehir Belediyespor in Turkey over the weekend. What a great moment for me to start my career in Europe,” she wrote.
The loss to their opponents has left Taiwo Lawal and her team in a precarious position, as they are now only one point ahead of the two teams at the bottom of the table.

The former NWFL star is now eagerly looking forward to their next game, which will be her first appearance in front of their home fans at the İBB Esatpaşa Stadı.
