Spain has won the 17th edition of the UEFA European Football Championships held in West Germany – a record 4th Euro title.
Spain defeated England 2-1 in the finals today to emerge as European football champions for the fourth time after winning the European football title in 1964, 2008, and 2012, Footballrover reports.
No European national team has won more Euros than them.
Spain shot into the lead early in the second half of the game after a goalless first half through Nico Williams in the forty-seventh minute.
Cole Palmer drew England 1-1 level in seventy-three minutes of the second half of the game.
Mikel Oyarzabal sent millions of Three Lions football fans to bed on Sunday evening with an eighty-sixth-minute second-half goal for Spain.
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, has reacted to England’s 1-2 loss in the final of the 17th edition of the UEFA European Football Championships held in West Germany.
