The management of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in Ibadan has strongly condemned the physical harassment of Remo Stars FC striker Sikiru Alimi by unidentified fans.
Alimi, who disclosed the incident on Twitter, faced aggression after his team’s clash with 3SC, Footballrover reports.
In an official statement, club spokesperson Tosin Omojola expressed deep disappointment over the situation.
Omojola acknowledged the unacceptable behaviour towards Alimi and emphasised the club’s disapproval of such actions.
“It is hugely unacceptable, and we, as a club, condemn the act in its totality,” he said.
Highlighting Alimi’s connection with their team, Omojola mentioned that General Manager Dimeji Lawal had promptly reached out to the player upon learning of the incident.
I don’t know, what you were told or what you all heard, but the harassments were really unnecessary and uncalled for to a former player…

3SC reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all players and calls for respect and fair treatment both on and off the field.
