Failure to comply will result in a hefty penalty of N1 million, Footballrover reports.

Ruth David, the NFF’s Director of Competitions, stated this on Monday, and according to her, the NFF will not tolerate the disobedience of certain FAs who schedule matches outside the NFF’s timetable.

David stressed that the NFF had consistently communicated the deadline for states to conclude their final matches by March 30th or 31st.

According to her, any state that fails to meet these dates will face repercussions.

She emphasised that,

Any state that fails to conclude its championship by Sunday, March 31st, will be fined the sum of N1 million.”

She also added that any state that decides to end its championship before Saturday, March 30th, will be fined the same amount of money.

Recall that the NFF had initially made this announcement last month.

Meanwhile, the Federation Cup competition in the States kicked off on March 1st, 2024.
