Greek Super League side Asteras Aktor have secured the signature of Nigerian forward Raymond Adeola, leaving several League One clubs to rue a missed opportunity.
The 23-year-old, who recently parted ways with Belarusian club Dinamo Minsk, brings a wealth of experience and attacking flair to his new team.
Asteras Aktor secures a dynamic talent
Adeola’s contract with Dinamo Minsk expired in December, making him a potential target for League One and League Two clubs.
However, the versatile forward opted for a move to Greece, where Asteras identified him as a key addition.
Adeola, known for his speed, two-footed ability, and skill in one-on-one situations, is expected to add significant firepower to the squad.
The club confirmed his arrival via their official X platform, expressing confidence in his potential to make an impact.
“We welcome Raymond Adeola to the Asteras Aktor family and wish him good luck,” the club wrote.
Raymond Adeola’s experience and achievements
Born on May 12, 2001, in Abuja, Nigeria, Adeola has built an impressive resume. He has won the Belarusian Premier League with Dinamo Minsk and lifted the Belarusian Cup with FC Gomel.
His experience in UEFA competitions, including the Champions League, Europa League qualifiers, and the Conference League group stages, makes him a valuable asset for Asteras Aktor.
Adeola expressed his gratitude to the club, stating,
“I am very happy, from the first moment everyone at Asteras welcomed me in a very friendly way and I would like to thank them. It takes hard work and a lot of work to be able to cope and help my new team from my side. Asteras is a challenge for me. I thank the people of the club for their trust.”
