Rafiu Durosinmi ended his long wait for a goal with a sharp finish that helped Viktoria Plzeň secure a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Mladá Boleslav.

The Nigerian forward came off the bench and made an immediate impact, restoring confidence after several games without a goal, Footballrover reports.

Rafiu Durosinmi Delivers When It Matters Most

Durosinmi struck in the 82nd minute, guiding home Plzeň’s second goal and sealing three important points in Round 17 of the Czech First League.

His goal came only ten minutes after replacing Prince Adu, showing once again how effective he can be in tight moments.

Plzeň had taken advantage of a key turning point just before halftime when Daniel Langhamer received a red card for a bad challenge.

With the visitors reduced to ten men, Plzeň tightened their control and pushed forward with confidence.

Durosinmi’s Season Numbers and Growing Influence

Before this match, Rafiu Durosinmi had gone seven games without a goal contribution, last scoring on October 18 in a 1–0 win over Bohemians 1905.

His latest strike now brings his season tally across all competitions to:

• 6 goals in 16 Czech First League matches
• 2 goals in the Czech Cup
• 2 goals in 4 Champions League games
• 2 goals in 5 Europa League appearances

That makes 12 goals in 27 matches this season. The 22-year-old forward, who is still hoping to earn his first Super Eagles call-up, has started only 11 league games but continues to make his minutes count.

Plzeň’s opener came in the 59th minute when Prince Adu reacted quickest inside a crowded box.

Mladá Boleslav refused to give up, pulling one back through Matyáš Vojta in the 87th minute, but Plzeň defended with maturity to hold on.

The victory pushes Plzeň to 5th place with 29 points, ten more behind table toppers Slavia Prague as they prepare for their next league match against Slovácko.
