It was indeed a dramatic evening for Chibueze Izuogu in Moldova Super Liga’s Championship Group Round 7, as Spartanii Selemet played out a dramatic 3-3 draw away to Balti.
Chibueze Izuogu put on the show in 6-goal thriller
The 19-year-old ex-Enyimba midfielder thought he had delivered the winner, only for late drama to unravel it all, Footballrover reports.
At Stadionul Orasenesc, Chibueze Izuogu
displayed his attacking instincts once again, netting Spartanii’s third goal in the 75th minute.
But the celebration didn’t last. Moments later, Balti’s Caio Ferreira completed his hat-trick to salvage a point for the home side in an entertaining encounter that saw both teams reduced to ten men.
Earlier in the match, Spartanii took the lead five minutes before halftime through Toto Ocante, but Ferreira responded with two quick goals to turn the game around.
Fabian Pegza made it 2-2 in the 72nd minute before Chibueze Izuogu briefly restored hope for the visitors.
However, defensive lapses proved costly. Dumitru Rogac was shown a straight red for Balti, while Isaac Oppong saw red after picking up two yellows for Spartanii.
Quadri Adediran strikes again, but SK Dynamo’s struggles continue
Over in the Czech Republic, Quadri Adediran added another goal to his growing tally but couldn’t save SK Dynamo from a 1-2 defeat against SK Dynamo from a 1-2 defeat against Mlada Boleslav in the Czech First League.
Coming on as a second-half substitute, Quadri Adediran made an instant impact by scoring in the 70th minute—his fourth goal of the season in 24 appearances.
Despite being a man down since the 37th minute—after Nigerian winger Ubong Ekpai was sent off—Adediran’s strike brought hope. But the damage had already been done.
Matyáš Vojta had earlier stunned the home crowd with two goals in five minutes, giving Mlada Boleslav a firm grip on the game.
Adediran’s effort sparked a late push, but SK Dynamo couldn’t find the equaliser.
After six years in topflight, SK Dynamo takes a deep dive as they finished bottom of the table with only five points from 31 games.
Both Chibueze Izuogu and Quadri Adediran delivered eye-catching moments for their respective clubs, showing why they remain talents to watch.
But despite their goals and growing influence, the results didn’t fall in their favour.
