The announcement was made by General Manager Habila Hosea Mutla during a meeting with players and the technical team at the New Stadium on Zaria Road, Jos, Footballrover reports.

Mutla emphasised the importance of the break, urging players to take this time to reflect on their future investments and their performance over the past season.

While he commended the team for securing a fifth-place finish, he expressed disappointment at their failure to secure a continental spot.

He appreciated the team’s effort that ensured they placed fifth, but noted that they must strive for better.

The general manager requested that the players take a serious break and return home to think about their future endeavours as well as their performance during the season under review.

He also acknowledged the technical crew’s invaluable contributions throughout the season and announced plans for a date to hold official Thanksgiving prayers, celebrating a safe and productive season.

In a significant move, Mutla revealed plans to restructure the technical crew across the men’s main team, the women’s team, and the youth team.

The goal is to boost efficiency and align with the club’s and fans’ aspirations for greater success next season.

A notable change includes the immediate replacement of Abel Iliya as team manager with Ibrahim Title.

Mutla thanked Iliya for his years of dedicated service and wished him the best in his future endeavours.

Technical adviser Mbwas Mangut urged the players to rest and recover during the break, stressing the importance of maintaining fitness levels to ensure a smooth transition into pre-season routines.

Mangut expressed gratitude for the players’ commitment throughout the season and wished them well for the future.

The meeting concluded with prayers for Plateau United midfielder Charles Henlong, who celebrated his birthday on the same day.
