It was a memorable day for Nigerian footballers in Ligue 1, as Moses Simon and Akor Adams lit up the pitch with their goal-scoring prowess for FC Nantes against Montpellier.
Moses Simon, the Nantes winger, displayed his current hot streak by scoring another crucial goal from the penalty spot, propelling his team to a resounding victory over Montpellier on Saturday, footballrover reports.
Simon’s goal marked his second in as many games this season, continuing his impressive form since the start of the Ligue 1 campaign.
His first goal came in Nantes’ 2-0 win against Auxerre, and now he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

Not to be outdone, Akor Adams also made his mark by opening his account for the season with a goal that thrilled both his teammates and Nantes’ faithful supporters.
His equaliser against Montpellier showed his ability to deliver when it matters most.
Matthis Abline set the tone early for Nantes with a goal in the 24th minute, but Adams quickly answered with a goal of his own just six minutes later.
However, it was Moses Simon who stole the show, converting a penalty to give Nantes a 2-1 lead before halftime.
His clinical finish means he’s showing no signs of stopping with his resurgence after a challenging injury spell last season.
The icing on the cake came from Mostafa Mohamed, who sealed the victory with a goal in the 85th minute, putting the game beyond Montpellier’s reach and securing Nantes’ second consecutive win.
