Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has received praise from fans and admirers for his dogged performance in the Premier League clash between Brighton and Fulham on a recent Sunday afternoon.
The 27-year-old Nigerian international, alongside his compatriot Calvin Bassey, kept fighting “until the end” of the match, earning a hard-fought away draw at the Amex Stadium.
It’s worth noting that Brighton is yet to defeat Fulham in a Premier League encounter.
Despite challenging weather conditions, Marco Silva’s team managed to secure a point after coming from behind.
Brighton displayed dominance in the first half, taking the lead when Ferguson scored from the edge of the box.
There was a contentious moment when Joao Palhinha appeared to elbow Gross, possibly warranting a red card for Fulham.
Fulham’s performance improved in the second half, with Palhinha equalizing with a spectacular shot from the edge of the box.
However, Brighton’s winless streak in the Premier League extended to four matches ahead of their upcoming game against Everton.
During the game, Alex Iwobi stood out by winning more than six duels before being substituted for Sasa Lukic in the 90th minute.
