The second period of the game saw a more cagey affair and in the end, West Brom managed to hold onto their lead throughout to secure a crucial 1-0 win.
Semi Ajayi, Maja’s compatriot, also played the full 90 minutes for the Baggies, contributing to their solid defensive performance.
This victory marks West Brom’s second consecutive win after their recent 2-1 triumph against Stoke City.
With this result, they climb to second place in the Championship standings with 10 points from four matches, just two points behind Sunderland.

Maja has been in solid form so far, scoring four goals in as many games in the English second division.
He kicked off the season with a memorable hat-trick in a 3-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers.
Looking ahead, Maja and his teammates are gearing up to face Portsmouth next, aiming to extend their winning streak to three matches.
