Super Falcons star Jennifer Echegini is back in the goals, scoring a stunning goal for Juventus in their 3-1 win over table-toppers Roma in Serie A women’s action.
Echegini’s strike sealed the win for Juventus at the Stadio Comunale Vittorio Pozzo Lamarmora, despite featuring for just 27 minutes, Footballrover reports.
Juventus Prove Their Dominance
The Bianconere meant business from the start, with Italian forward Sofia Cantore firing them ahead just six minutes into the game.
Roma equalised four minutes after the interval through Evelyne Viens, but Juventus regained the lead when Sofia Cantore doubled her tally in the 62nd minute.
Echegini’s Winning Goal
Echegini was introduced two minutes after the goal and made an instant impact, striking the back of the net in additional time to seal the win.

The assist came from Lineth Beerensteyn, and the goal marked Echegini’s ninth of the season in just 13 appearances.
Echegini’s Form Continues
The 23-year-old Nigerian midfielder has been in stunning form this season, scoring crucial goals for Juventus.
Her last goal came two months ago, when she bagged her first career hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Fiorentina.
Juventus Remain in Second Place
The victory keeps Juventus firmly in second place, 11 points behind league leaders Roma.
With one game left to play, Juventus will aim to finish the season on a high when they face Sassuolo in the last Serie A women’s playoff at the Stadio Enzo Ricci on Saturday.
