Former Bendel Insurance forward Imade Osarenkhoe has penned a heartfelt farewell message to the club and its dedicated fans, revealing that he had long anticipated this moment and knew this day would come.
Imade recently inked a three-year contract with an additional year option with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) based team, United FC.
This move followed a successful medical examination he underwent at the club last Monday.
The UNIBEN graduate (University of Benin) played a pivotal role in Bendel Insurance’s campaign previous season.
He notched up an impressive ten goals in various competitions for the club and played a key role in their victory in the Federation’s Cup, putting an end to the dry spell in the club’s trophy cabinet.
The 22-year-old player took a moment to convey his heartfelt farewell to his childhood club, their devoted fans, and supporters.
He revealed that he had always anticipated the day when he would depart from Insurance to join a foreign club.
Nonetheless, he emphasized the deep-rooted affection he holds for Insurance and pledged to continue representing its emblem.
In his farewell message, he conveyed;
“Writing this farewell message fills me with emotion. I had foreseen this day, as I eagerly awaited it while putting in blood and sweat to defend the Bendel Insurance badge. It holds a special place in my heart. It’s a club I watched during my formative years, heard inspiring stories about, and eventually became a player for. The Adaaaa Bendel spirit remains with me, and I promise to be a strong ambassador for the club. One day, I’ll return to contribute my share to the club for the opportunities and exposure they provided me.”

In this season’s CAF Confederations Cup, Imade has already produced two goals for Bendel Insurance, scoring in matches against ASO Chlef and RS Berkane of Morocco.
Regrettably for the NPFL side, they will be without their star player for their upcoming CAF Cup fixture and NPFL campaign this season.
