But on Matchday 16 of the Arkema Première Ligue, she finally broke free.
With Montpellier leading 2-1 in the 78th minute, the 29-year-old pounced on an opening to extend the lead, ensuring her team took full control.

Coming off a 4-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain, Montpellier needed a response—and they delivered in spectacular fashion.
After a cagey first half, Coquet opened the scoring in the 49th minute, only for Monique Ngock to equalise for Reims moments later.
Coquet restored Montpellier’s lead in the 71st minute before Onumonu’s composed finish made it 3-1.
A defensive slip saw Celeste Boureille score an own goal for Reims, but Coquet sealed the win with her third strike in the 86th minute.
With this crucial win, Montpellier moved up to 6th place with 22 points, ending a frustrating three-game losing streak.
Ifeoma Onumonu and her teammates will now shift focus to their next fixture against Saint-Étienne next Sunday.
