Victor Osimhen scored a brace to help Napoli come back from a goal down to beat Udinese 2-1 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
In the footsteps of George Weah, Samuel Eto’o, and Mohamed Salah, Osimhen made Serie A history with Napoli.
He is the first Nigerian player to net double figures for Napoli in two consecutive Serie A seasons.
Weah for Milan, Eto’o for Inter, and Mo Salah for Roma are the only Africans to have attained this record in the Italian top flight.

Osimhen has already outperformed his rookie season in Italy, when he scored 10 goals in 24 games in Serie A.
After a nice through ball by Roberto Pereyra, Udinese grabbed a stunning lead after 22 minutes when Gerard Deulofeu scored a wonderful goal from the outskirts of the area.
Lorenzo Insigne’s curling shot from the edge of the box went inches wide of the far post, giving the Partenopei the greatest chance of the first half.
At halftime, Luciano Spalletti switched things up and it paid off, as his side were level within ten minutes into second hafl, thanks to Osimhen, who headed in at the back post following a free-kick to bring his team back into the game.
After a low cross from an overlapping Giovanni Di Lorenzo met Osimhen, the Super Eagles point man scored an easy tap-in from inside the box barely ten minutes later to double his tally and complete the comeback for the home side.

The result puts Napoli level on points with AC Milan at the top of Serie A, despite the fact that they have played one game more than their title rivals.
