The award honors the finest player under the age of 21 in a calendar year and has been won by various modern-day stars.

Pedri, the former winner, is up for the prize yet again. His Barcelona teammates Nico and Gavi have also been nominated.

Eduardo Camavinga of Real Madrid, Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich, and Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund are among the nominees also.

While Premier League players nominated include, Harvey Elliott and Adam Diallo, as well as Fabio Silva, Ki-Jana Hoever, Pape Matar Sarr, Yan Couto, Kacper Kozlowski, and Joe Gelhardt
