Ghana Survived an attacking siege in first ten minutes of the first half, and last ten minutes of extra time of second half to defeat South Korea 3-2 in Group H, Round 2, of Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Ghana was under intense attacking siege from the South Koreans which forced them to concede 5 corners in the first ten minutes of the first half.
In 24th minute of the first half, Ghana, inspired by midfielder – Jordan Ayew was rewarded with with a free kick which Mohammed Salisu converted to score his second International goal, and first World goal for his country.
Undaunted by the goal and again inspired by midfielder Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus headed home a telegraphi cross to score the second goal for Ghana.
South Korea bounced back forcefully in the second half to score two goals in quick succession in 58, and 61 minutes through Gue,-sung Cho with assist from Kang-in Lee and Jin-su Kim.

Mohammed Kudus went on to grab a brace for Ghana after receiving a pass from Gideon Mensah in the South Korean goal area for the third goal to end the match 3-2.
South Korea got back from behind, Ghana took another lead soon after, but Taegeuk Warriors didn’t have another comeback in them. Black Stars win their first FIFA World Cup match since their Round of 16 win v USA in 2010!

The victory will now guarantee the Black Stars the first three points in the group and also brighten the team’s chances of qualifying for round of 16 of Qatar 2022 World Cup.
