Brazil ekes out a win in a game they were far from playing at their best to advance to the round of 16.
Casemiro’s 83 minutes solo long range effort hit the roof of the Switzerland net unhindered for the only goal of the match.

The goal also earned the five time World Cup Champions Qatar 2022 World Cup round of 16 ticket.
Ivan Arcides Barton Cisneros, the match referee, had in 63 minutes of second half disallowed Viniscius Junior’s goal scored from an impossible angle after he broke loose in Swaziland goal area.
Going forward, Switzerland did pose a threat, but Brazil managed to hold them off quite comfortably, and eventually their superiority in the final third paid off as Casemiro slammed home the winning goal.
The first half of the game ended goalless with even exchanges of ball from the two teams.
The Selecao are safe and sound in the knockout rounds, although Switzerland still has a game against Serbia to play in order to join them.

Switzerland started the 2nd half well,ย but Brazil improved towards the end, and they ultimately got the all-important goal. A Seleรงรฃo progress through the group stage for the 14th consecutive FIFA World Cup tournament.
