Portugal kicked off their World Cup campaign with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Ghana during their World Cup game at the 974 Stadium.
Ghana, the lowest ranked team at 2022 Qatar World Cup clearly played a defensive game for the first 35 minutes of the first half of Round 1, Group H, World Cup match.
Ghana permanently stationed five defenders to counter all attacking forays of Portuguese Superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United’s defensive midfielder, Bruno Fernandez, Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva, and FC Porto’s Otavio.
Twice in 9th, and 12th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo came close to scoring his historic World Cup goal, but was denied by Ghanian Goalkeeper, Lawrence Ati.

Bruno Fernandez’s free kick outside Ghanian goal was cleared away from danger by Ghanian defenders.
The Portuguese Superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, finally had his day in the record books in 64th minute of the second half of the match as the only player to score in five different World Cups.
Ghanian defender, Mohammed Salisu brought him down at the critical area, and the American Referee, Facundo Tello wasted no time to award a Penalty to Portugal.
Cristiano Ronaldo eventually converted for the first goal of the match.
In 74th minute of the second half, André Ayew equalized for Ghana after receiving an assist from his team mate.
Mohammed Kudus, Joao Felix, and Rafael Leåo went on to score two additional goals before Ghanian Osman Bukari slotted in an inswinger to end the match 3-2 in favour of Portugal.
