Super Eagles star Fisayo Dele-Bashiru delivered a standout performance to help Lazio start off their Europa League campaign with a commanding 3-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv at the Volksparkstadion on Wednesday evening.
The Nigerian midfielder delivered a commendable performance, scoring a goal and providing an assist as the Serie A side comfortably swept aside their Ukrainian Premier League opponents, Footballrover reports.
Dele-Bashiru, 23, had been relegated to the bench in Lazio’s last two matches but seized his opportunity in style, reminding his coach of his immense value to the team.
Lazio came into the game on the back of a narrow 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina and needed a strong response. And they got it.
It took just five minutes for Lazio to assert their dominance, with Pedro threading a perfect pass to Boulaye Dia, who coolly fired a shot into the bottom right corner to give Lazio an early lead.
The second goal came 29 minutes later, courtesy of Dele-Bashiru.
After receiving a clever pass from Matias Vecino, the Nigerian darted into the box and unleashed a stunning shot into the top right corner.

The second half of the game had little to offer in terms of excitement, as the visitors comfortably held on to their 3-0 lead until the final whistle.
