Super Falcons defender Chidinma Okeke delivered a standout performance as she scored twice in Club America’s commanding 5-0 demolition of Juarez in the second leg of the Liga MX Femenil Playoffs quarterfinals on Sunday.

Playing at the iconic Estadio Azteca, Las Águilas bounced back in style from a winless two-game run to book their spot in the semifinals with a resounding 7-2 aggregate victory, Footballrover reports.

It was Okeke who set the tone with her defensive leadership and attacking brilliance.

Just four minutes later, Nicolette Andrea Hernandez Sippel added a second, and by the 42nd minute, Montserrat Saldivar had made it 3-0 with a confident strike.

Shortly before halftime, Chidinma Okeke’s brace against Juarez was completed as she netted her second goal of the game — a rare feat for a defender.

The second half saw more attacking flair from Club America, with Saldivar bagging her second goal in the 58th minute to round off a dominant display.

Okeke was substituted at the start of the second half, having already played a decisive role in swinging momentum her team’s way.

Prior to this fixture, Club América had gone two games without a win — a draw and a loss — making this emphatic performance a much-needed lift in morale.
