Just three days after scoring a stunning hat-trick to send Al Hilal into the semi-finals of the Saudi Women’s Challenge Cup, Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala delivered another masterclass on Wednesday night.
The Nigerian forward was once again the driving force as Al-Hilal stormed into the final with a dominant 6–2 victory over Al Ahly, producing a hat-trick in another eye-catching performance, Footballrover reports.
Asisat Oshoala shines as Al Hilal overpower Al Ahly
Oshoala set the tone early by opening the scoring, helping Al-Hilal head into halftime with a comfortable 2–0 lead.
After the restart, Jessica Silva made it three before Oshoala struck again to stretch the advantage to four.
Silva then completed her brace with Al Hilal’s fifth goal, before Oshoala sealed the rout with her third of the night to complete a second consecutive hat-trick in the competition.
Al Ahly managed to pull two goals back, but the outcome was already beyond doubt as Al Hilal cruised to a commanding win.
Saudi Women’s Challenge Cup final beckons for Oshoala-led Al-Hilal
The six-time African Women’s Player of the Year has now taken her season tally to 12 goals across all competitions, including six goals in the Saudi Women’s Challenge Cup alone.
Oshoala also has two assists in the Saudi Women’s Premier League, bringing her total goal contributions this season to 14, showing her importance to José Ángel Herrera’s side.
Al-Hilal will now turn their attention to a blockbuster final clash against Al Nassr, with Oshoala expected to play a decisive role once again.
