Okpe & Ogbiagbevha: A scoring masterclass

Matchday 15 of the Belarus Vysshaya Liga Women’s season was a one-sided affair at Stadion Dinamo.

It wasn’t long before Okpe ignited the scoreboard, finding the back of the net barely 8 minutes into the game to hand the hosts an early lead with a left-footed strike off a corner kick.

The pressure intensified, and Emueje Ogbiagbevha soon joined the party, delivering a crucial third goal against her former team to make sure Dinamo was in full control, thanks to Okpe, who provided the assist.

This isn’t a new act for these two Nigerians. Recall that the duo displayed their goal-scoring prowess in their previous outing, contributing significantly to an astonishing 11-0 demolition of Naftan Novopolotsk.

In that match, Okpe netted a brace and provided an assist, while Emueje also found the scoresheet, marking two consecutive games they’ve both found the net.

21-year-old Okpe now boasts three goals and two assists in five appearances, while the seasoned 35-year-old Emueje commands an impressive record of seven goals and three assists across ten appearances.

Dinamo Minsk’s unstoppable momentum

The home side delivered a commanding performance from start to finish in this local derby.

After Okpe’s early opener, Darya Manyukova effectively sealed the deal before halftime, netting the second goal in the 17th minute, sending the team into the break with a comfortable 3-0 cushion.

The second half saw strategic substitutions, with Yana Artishevskaya replacing the impressive Okpe in the 81st minute and Hanna Putsykovich coming on for Ogbiagbevha in the 90th minute.

With 37 points from 13 matches, they also hold a significant six-point lead over Minsk FK, their closest rivals in second place, who have played one more game.

After a two-week break, Okpe, Ogbiagbevha, and their teammates will return to action on July 05, 2025, for their next thrilling showdown against Dynamo Brest Women in the Belarusian Vysshaya Liga Women.
