Bayelsa Queen’s Coach – Domo Okaro waited for 73 minutes before making the necessary changes that would have guaranteed his team a historic and famous victory against an obvious foxy opponent by bringing in Sabastine Flourish, and Grace Igbomalu.

Before the introduction of these two utility players, the team’s midfield was obviously clueless, and could not stop any of the menacing moves of the host team which resulted into the only goal of the match scored by ASFAR Club No.9, Tissam Jardi, in the 27th minute of the first half.

Bayelsa Queens had the match under control in the early moments of the match forcing the host team to concede four corners in quick successions between 3rd-6th minute of the first half with a close shave from Juliet Sunday narrowly missing the opponent’s net.

The Moroccan side only had one chance and that was the end of the game compared to Bayelsa Queens, who created 100’s of chances while hoping to convert one but failed to.

ASFAR are through to the final, while Bayelsa Queens will compete for the Bronze title.

Bayelsa Queens will now meet Simba Queens FC of Tanzania who lost in the first semi-finals match to defending Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.

The match is scheduled for Saturday, November 12, 2022, by 20.00 (8pm Nigerian Time.

The final match between Mamelodi Sundowns, and ASFAR FC, Morocco, will kick off 20.00 (8.pm Nigerian Time) on Sunday, November 13, 2022.
