Bendel Insurance Coach, Monday Odigie has stated that football is not all about winning after a nail-biting encounter between the Benin Arsenal and Morocco’s RS Berkane on Saturday.
The CAF Confederation Cup clash saw the Nigerian FA Champions battle tooth and nail against RS Berkane to secure a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
The Benin Gunners initially seized the lead when Imade Osarenkhoe capitalized on a loose ball, following Benjamin Taminu’s fierce shot, finding the net in the 28th minute.
However, RS Berkane quickly responded, with Hamza El Moussaoui equalizing the score ten minutes later, leaving the first half at 1-1.
Under the guidance of Coach Monday Odigie, Bendel Insurance displayed relentless determination and retook the lead in the 65th minute, thanks to Vincent Augustus.
