Mağusa Türk Gücü (MTG) delivered a statement performance in the KTFF Super League, thrashing Esentepe KKSK 5-0 with Andy Okpe part of the scorers on Saturday afternoon.
Andy Okpe, in red-hot form, found the net once again to power his side to a crucial victory.
The Nigerian striker, who has been unstoppable in recent weeks, bagged his 11th goal of the season, strengthening MTG’s title ambitions.
With back-to-back goals, Okpe continues to be the driving force behind his team’s success.

MTG wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Mehmet Erol opening the scoring in the 16th minute.
Senol Sofor doubled the lead in the 24th minute and struck again just after halftime in the 47th minute, putting the game firmly in MTG’s control.
Andy Okpe then added his name to the scoresheet in the 52nd minute, netting his 11th goal of the season to all but seal the win.
Esentepe KKSK had no response to the relentless attacking display. Emre Ozsin capped off the emphatic victory with an 80th-minute goal, completing a five-star rout.
Mağusa TG go top as Okpe’s scoring streak continues
Andy Okpe’s influence has been crucial to the team as he has now contributed nine goals in his last three matches.
The 23-year-old was instrumental in MTG’s previous 6-1 win over Yenicami, where he netted a hat trick before coming into this clash.
With this latest victory, MTG extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches, boasting ten wins and two draws.
The victory temporarily puts MTG at the top of the league, three points ahead of Degirmenlik, who still have two games in hand.
With momentum on their side, Andy Okpe and his teammates will now turn their focus to their upcoming clash against Doğan Türk Birliği, aiming to maintain their grip on the title race.
