Rizespor fans witnessed an entertaining night as Super Eagles star Ibrahim Olawoyin delivered a match-winning assist to cap off a dramatic 3-2 comeback against Samsunspor.

After trailing by two goals, Rizespor staged a stunning turnaround, leaving the hosts in shock, Footballrover reports.

Samsunspor took early control of the game at the Samsun Yeni 19 Mayıs Stadyumu, capitalising on a 23rd-minute own goal from Rizespor’s Samet Akaydin.

Emre Kılınç doubled their advantage in the 41st minute, putting the home side in a commanding position at halftime.

Rizespor responded with a tactical switch at the break, introducing Nigerian winger Babajide David.

Their persistence paid off in the 52nd minute when Lubomir Šatka turned the ball into his own net, reducing the deficit to 2-1.

As Samsunspor struggled to hold their lead, Ali Sowe struck in the 86th minute, levelling the score and setting the stage for late drama.

Ibrahim Olawoyin shines with match-winning assist

Just two minutes after the equaliser, Olawoyin delivered the decisive moment.

His perfectly placed assist found substitute Altin Zeqiri, who fired home the winner, sealing a stunning 3-2 victory for Rizespor.

This crucial contribution marked Olawoyin’s eighth goal involvement of the season—two goals and five assists in the Super Lig, plus one in the Turkish Cup.

Beyond his assist, the 27-year-old winger showed off his brilliance with a game-high four successful dribbles and five recoveries, proving his importance in Rizespor’s attacking play.

With this win, Rizespor ended a rough patch following consecutive losses to Kasimpasa and Galatasaray.

The victory, their ninth of the season, lifts them to ninth place in the league standings with 30 points after 24 matches.
