Former West Brom star Brown Ideye has made a bold claim about his future with Nigeria’s Super Eagles, revealing that he is ready to represent his country once again, despite an 8-year hiatus from international football.

The 36-year-old, who now plays for Enyimba in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), is determined to answer any call-up from the national team, footballrover reports.

Ideye, speaking on Channels Television’s Sports Tonight, emphatically dismissed rumors of his retirement from international duty.

He expressed a clear commitment to the Super Eagles, stating, “I’ll jump on it” should he receive a national team call-up.

For sure, because I’m not retired from international football yet. So why not? If I get called up to represent my country, I’m going to honour the invite, for sure,” he said.

The forward last appeared for Nigeria in October 2016, during a 2-1 victory over Zambia in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, and has not played for the Super Eagles since then.
