Since his arrival in 2009, Ali has played a crucial role, amassing an impressive record of over 100 goals for the Sai Masu Gida side.
When inquired about Ali’s future in the top-flight league, Maikaba shared his thoughts with DAILY POST, indicating that the veteran player may be contemplating retirement.
“Maybe after this season. We will start thinking about [his] retirement; we are grooming some boys to take over from him,” he said.
Ali’s contributions to the team have been immense, and his legacy will continue to inspire the next wave of Kano Pillars stars.
The club’s decision to transition towards a younger squad reflects its commitment to long-term success.
