Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman has done it again for his club Atalanta, finding the back of the net to inspire the Serie A side to a thrilling win over Olympique Marseille as they book their spot in the Europa League final for the first time in their history.
The 26-year-old Nigerian forward scored and contributed an assist against the Ligue 1 side as Atalanta won 3-0 to advance to the Europa League final on Thursday, Footballrover reports.
Ademola Lookman opened the scoring for the home side with an incredible strike to get Atalanta ahead in the first period of the game.
Barely thirty minutes into the game, Lookman handed the home side the advantage before setting up Matteo Ruggeri for the 2-0 lead.
Following his outstanding performance, Lookman was later replaced just thirteen minutes before the final whistle.
El Bilal Toure, who came on in place of the Nigerian forward, wrapped up the scoring in the 95th minute to seal Atalanta’s place in the final.
The Super Eagles forward has continued to prove his worth as a big-game player, delivering his 20th goal involvement in all competitions this season.
The Nigerian international has over 12 goals and eight assists under his belt.
After a 1-1 draw in the first leg in France, Atalanta advanced 4-1 on aggregate.
In their history, this is the first time Atalanta has advanced to a UEFA club championship final.
With the 3-0 win, Atalanta have now qualified for the Europa League final, a historical moment for the club, while Olympique Marseille are eliminated.

The Europa League final of this season will now take place in Dublin, Ireland, between Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen.
After trailing 2-0, the German Bundesliga winners rallied to tie AS Roma 2-2, winning the match 4-2 on aggregate.
With a spot in the Coppa Italia final against Juventus, Atalanta now has the opportunity to win two titles this season.
