In a packed Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, Cubana made headlines by pledging ₦1 million for every goal scored — a promise that fired up the People’s Elephant in their clash against Niger Tornadoes, Footballrover reports.

The People’s Elephant Matchday 2 fixture became more than football. With Kanu Nwankwo steering the club as Chairman, the game turned into a show of class and unity.
Fresh from rallying Igbo businessmen in Kano, Kanu delivered another masterstroke by attracting Cubana, the CEO of Cubana Group, to Aba.
Cubana arrived in grand style with his entourage, which included MC Cogency (MC Ndi Eriwa), Timaya Anyaso (CEO of Xclusive by Cubana), Mr. Ola Bidemi, and Hon. Janson Eke (CEO of Jiga Pop).
The atmosphere felt like a festival, and when Cubana was presented with the team’s customised jersey, the stadium erupted in cheers.
Kanu’s Vision Meets Cubana’s Support
The billionaire’s presence wasn’t just symbolic. His promise of ₦1 million per goal immediately boosted the team’s morale.
Enyimba responded in kind, securing a 1–0 victory thanks to a powerful first-half header from new signing Joseph Abiodun.
— “This is more than football; it is culture, it is unity, and it is support for our own. Enyimba is our pride, and we must all come together to push them to greater heights,” Cubana declared, smiling as the crowd celebrated.
